{"id":15366,"date":"2020-11-16T11:03:04","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:03:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8080\/?p=15366"},"modified":"2020-11-16T11:03:04","modified_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:03:04","slug":"orange-mea-poursuite-de-la-strategie-de-developpement-en-territoire-de-croissance-pour-le-groupe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.cfecgc-orange.app\/index.php\/2020\/11\/16\/orange-mea-poursuite-de-la-strategie-de-developpement-en-territoire-de-croissance-pour-le-groupe\/","title":{"rendered":"Orange MEA: poursuite de la strat\u00e9gie de d\u00e9veloppement en territoire de croissance pour le Groupe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[<em>French version here\/English version below<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre du Comit\u00e9 Groupe Monde des 3, 4 et 5 novembre par t\u00e9l\u00e9conf\u00e9rence, la Direction du Groupe a inscrit un point \u00e0 l&rsquo;ordre du jour relatif aux op\u00e9rations en zone MEA,&nbsp;dossier pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par Alioune Ndiaye, Directeur ex\u00e9cutif d&rsquo;Orange MEA, Clotilde Boury, Directrice des Ressources Humaines d&rsquo;Orange MEA, Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Rey, Directeur du programme Kilimandjaro et Directeur des Ressources Humaines adjoint d&rsquo;Orange MEA et Pierre Lescude de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe Ressources Humaines d&rsquo;Orange MEA.<\/p>\n<p>La Direction commence par rappeler les enjeux MEA pour le Groupe Orange, \u00e0 savoir devenir l\u2019op\u00e9rateur multi-services pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 des Africains, et conqu\u00e9rir le leadership sur sa zone en 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce jour, les performances d\u2019Orange MEA depuis 2017 permettent de compenser la voix et l\u2019international par la data-mobile, le fixe et Orange Money. Avec un chiffre d&rsquo;affaires en 2019 de 5,6 Mds \u20ac, plus de 122 millions de clients mobiles, 24 millions de clients 4G et 44 millions de clients Orange Money, notre pr\u00e9sence dans 18 pays africains nous permet d\u2019assurer une croissance de + de 6% en 2019 (vs 2018).<\/p>\n<p>Au 30 Juin 2020, malgr\u00e9 la crise sanitaire le chiffre d&rsquo;affaires (et la chute associ\u00e9e du trafic en roaming entre autres\u2026) s\u2019\u00e9levait \u00e0 2,8 Mds \u20ac, soit +3,8% compar\u00e9 au premier semestre de 2019.<\/p>\n<p>La zone Afrique et Moyen-Orient repr\u00e9sente 13% du chiffre d&rsquo;affaires du Groupe, et les relais de croissance sont encore nombreux: 871 millions d\u2019Africains ne sont pas encore connect\u00e9s au web, le taux de bancarisation est seulement de 15% en Afrique subsaharienne, 1 Africain sur 2 seulement dispose d\u2019un mobile, seuls 13% en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest sont actifs sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux en 2020. Par ailleurs, la population africaine doit doubler d\u2019ici \u00e0 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Les op\u00e9rateurs mobiles repr\u00e9sentent en moyenne 9% du PIB dans les pays africains, et, face \u00e0 ses concurrents, Orange (pr\u00e9sent dans 18 pays) se place en 3<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> position derri\u00e8re MTN et Vodafone (respectivement sur 17 et 9 pays).<\/p>\n<p>Pour citer quelques faits marquants&nbsp;de notre proximit\u00e9 avec la population, de l\u2019inclusion num\u00e9rique et du d\u00e9veloppement durable&nbsp;: Orange Campus Africa propose l\u2019e-learning pour 350.000 \u00e9l\u00e8ves &amp; professeurs, une application \u2018m.vaccin\u2019 connecte 6000 mamans en C\u00f4te-d\u2019Ivoire en 6 mois, un programme \u2018Ideal\u2019 propose la connexion pour des zones rurales, un terminal simplifi\u00e9 \u2018Sanza Touch\u2019 est positionn\u00e9 \u00e0 30 USD, des ateliers de recyclages sont disponibles au Cameroun, au Burkina Faso et en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, la solarisation fournit en partie l\u2019\u00e9nergie n\u00e9cessaire pour nos infrastructures (Data-center), le programme \u2018solar farm\u2019 sur le mod\u00e8le jordanien est \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude au Mali, en Egypte et au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal.<\/p>\n<p>Comme dans le Groupe, toutes les mesures \u00e9prouv\u00e9es (cellule de crise, kits accompagnement \/ EPI (Equipement Protection Individuelle), coordination avec m\u00e9decins, politique de tests PCR, sondages flash, PRA (Plan Reprise Activit\u00e9), formations en ligne, plateforme \u2018Letmehelp\u2019, t\u00e9l\u00e9travail\u2026) ont bien \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en place. 950.000 masques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9s pour nos filiales en zone MEA. Clotilde Boury confirme que la situation est \u2018sous contr\u00f4le\u2019, peut-\u00eatre aussi gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la moyenne d\u2019\u00e2ge de la population africaine (tous pays confondus) qui est de 20 ans seulement\u2026<\/p>\n<p>S&rsquo;agissant du projet Kilimandjaro, le point a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sous le stress manifeste du pr\u00e9sentateur, \u00e0 un rythme incontr\u00f4lable, y compris pour nos interpr\u00e8tes, et ceci malgr\u00e9 nos appels r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 ralentir\u2026 N\u00e9anmoins nous allons essayer d\u2019en retenir l\u2019essentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Les objectifs de Kilimandjaro se concentrent sur une cible de position d\u2019op\u00e9rateur \u2018multi-services\u2019, car en 2050 pas moins de 2,5 milliards d\u2019habitants seront africains, soit 1 sur 4, avec un PIB de 10% du PIB mondial. N\u2019oublions pas qu\u2019\u00e0 ce jour la zone MEA participe \u00e0 hauteur de plus de 50% \u00e0 la croissance du Groupe Orange. Apr\u00e8s Babel en 2015, Kilimandjaro a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 2017 (phase 1) et \u00e0 ce jour la phase 2 (en cours) de Kilimandjaro&nbsp;cible une transformation acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e et doit aboutir au plus tard en 2025 \u00e0 ce statut d\u2019op\u00e9rateur multi-services, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un ancrage africain affirm\u00e9. Plusieurs axes strat\u00e9giques doivent permettre \u00e0 Kilimandjaro de d\u00e9ployer des mod\u00e8les novateurs et adapt\u00e9s aux enjeux du continent africain (partenariats avec les gouvernements, mais aussi avec les GAFAM et les acteurs chinois majeurs).<\/p>\n<p>Pour le seul projet Kilimandjaro, 15 recrutements ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en 2020.<\/p>\n<p>5 chantiers sont en cours dans le cadre de Kilimandjaro. Ils sont sponsoris\u00e9s par chaque Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Orange en Egypte, en Tunisie, au Burkina Faso, en R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo et au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. Parmi ces chantiers, celui destin\u00e9 \u00e0 \u2018Attirer \/ Retenir les comp\u00e9tences en zone MEA\u2019 est sponsoris\u00e9 par le Directeur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral d&rsquo;Orange RDC. Ce chantier a identifi\u00e9 7 nouvelles comp\u00e9tences MEA \u2018new skills\u2019 et mutualise les comp\u00e9tences \u2018rares\u2019 au sein de Skillscenters, tout en constituant un vivier de talents et en d\u00e9veloppant les mobilit\u00e9s intra-MEA.<\/p>\n<p>Le si\u00e8ge africain d\u2019Orange MEA \u00e0 Casablanca a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 en Janvier 2020 en pr\u00e9sence de St\u00e9phane Richard et du Comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif. A ce jour, dans la tour CFC (Casablanca Finance City), Orange MEA b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie sur 2 \u00e9tages et demi d\u2019environ 900 m2 d\u2019espaces am\u00e9nageables pour environ 50 salari\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En terme d\u2019effectifs, Orange MEA compte en septembre 2020 plus de 14500 salari\u00e9s sur 18 pays africains, et pr\u00e9voit 450 nouveaux recrutements en 2021.<\/p>\n<p>3 boosters vont am\u00e9liorer le quotidien sur Orange MEA&nbsp;: le recrutement, la mutualisation et l\u2019&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;Up Skilling&nbsp;\u00bb (formation \u2018vers le haut\u2019)<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les m\u00e9tiers type du Groupe, sur Orange MEA, les besoins se concentrent \u00e0 + de 80% autour du domaine de l\u2019innovation technologique sur 7 comp\u00e9tences majeures&nbsp;\u00e0 savoir&nbsp;: le Big-Data, l\u2019IA, le Cloud, la Cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9,&nbsp; l\u2019IOT (d\u00e9signant l\u2019Internet des Objets), l\u2019ICT (Technologies de l\u2019Information et de la Communication) et enfin la virtualisation et le d\u00e9veloppement de logiciels. En 2020 la p\u00e9riode est marqu\u00e9e par une forte \u00e9volution du mix des formats d\u2019apprentissage au profit du digital. Alors que 72% de ces formations \u00e9taient r\u00e9alis\u00e9es en pr\u00e9sentiel en 2019, les donn\u00e9es s\u2019inversent et plus de 80% sont faites en distanciel depuis d\u00e9but 2020.<\/p>\n<p>De nouveaux parcours Orange Campus ont vu le jour en 2020 notamment sur la cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9 (y compris en version anglaise) et le cloud.<\/p>\n<p>Au total sur le 1er semestre 2020, 6000 salari\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s, soit 15% de plus qu\u2019au 1er semestre 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En d\u00e9pit de pr\u00e9sentations souvent claires et argument\u00e9es, la pr\u00e9cipitation lors de la pr\u00e9sentation Kilimandjaro par soul\u00e8ve des inqui\u00e9tudes. Malheureusement la tr\u00e8s faible participation de nos repr\u00e9sentants africains&nbsp;lors de cette s\u00e9ssion du Comit\u00e9 de Groupe Monde en distanciel nous a priv\u00e9s des questions du terrain d&rsquo;Orange MEA. Les \u00e9lus demandent \u00e0 ce que l\u2019actionnariat d&rsquo;Orange MEA soit propos\u00e9 aux salari\u00e9s africains, ce \u00e0 quoi la Direction confirme qu\u2019elle n\u2019y est pas oppos\u00e9e. Les \u00e9lus du Comit\u00e9 de Groupe Monde suivront de pr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9volution du projet Kilimandjaro en Afrique ainsi que les r\u00e9sultats du booster \u2018Up-Skilling\u2019 d\u00e8s 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[<em>English version<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>As part of the remote Global Works Council on November 3rd, 4th and 5th (by videoconference), the Orange Group Management placed the Update on OMEA Operations on the agenda, presented by Alioune Ndiaye, Chief Executive Officer Orange MEA, Clotilde Boury, Human Resources Director of Orange MEA, Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Rey, Kilimanjaro Program Director and Human Resources Deputy Director of Orange MEA, and Pierre Lescude from the Human Resources team of Orange MEA.<\/p>\n<p>The Group Management begins by recalling the Orange MEA challenges for the Orange Group, namely to become the preferred multi-service operator of Africans, and to gain leadership in its region in 2025.Orange MEA&rsquo;s performance since 2017 has made it possible to compensate for voice and international calls through data-mobile, landline and Orange Money. With a 2019 turnover of 5.6 billion \u20ac, more than 122 million mobile customers, 24 million 4G customers and 44 million Orange Money customers, our presence in 18 African countries allows us to ensure growth of +6% in 2019 (vs 2018).<\/p>\n<p>As of June 30th, 2020, despite the health crisis, turnover (and the associated drop in roaming traffic among others &#8230;) amounted to 2.8 billion \u20ac, increasing by 3.8% compared to H1 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Africa and Middle East zone represents 13% of the group&rsquo;s turnover, and there are still many growth drivers: 871 million Africans are not yet connected to the web, the banking rate is only 15% in sub-Saharan Africa, only 1 in 2 Africans have a mobile, only 13% in West Africa are active on social networks in 2020. In addition, the African population must double by 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile operators represent on average 9% of GDP in African countries, and compared to its competitors Orange (present in 18 countries) is in 3rd position behind MTN and Vodafone (respectively in 17 and 9 countries).<\/p>\n<p>To quote a few highlights of our proximity to the population, of digital inclusion and of sustainable development: Orange Campus Africa offers e-learning for 350,000 students &amp; teachers, an &lsquo;m.vaccin&rsquo; application connects 6,000 mothers in C\u00f4te- d&rsquo;Ivoire in 6 months, an &lsquo;Ideal&rsquo; program offers connection for rural areas, a simplified &lsquo;Sanza Touch&rsquo; terminal is positioned at 30 USD, recycling workshops are available in Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast, solarization partly provides the energy necessary for our infrastructures (data-center), the &lsquo;solar farm&rsquo; program on the Jordanian model is being studied in Mali, Egypt and Senegal.<\/p>\n<p>As in the Group, all the proven measures (crisis unit, support kits \/ PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), coordination with doctors, PCR testing policy, flash surveys, PRA (Business Recovery Plan), online training, &lsquo;Letmehelp&rsquo; platform &lsquo;, teleworking &#8230;) have been implemented over MEA countries. 950,000 masks were distributed for our subsidiaries in OMEA. The Group Management&nbsp;confirms the situation is \u00ab\u00a0under control\u00a0\u00bb, perhaps also thanks to the average age of the African population (all countries combined) which is only 20 years old &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Kilimandjaro program, this point was made under the obvious stress of the presenter, at an uncontrollable pace, including for our interpreters, and this despite our repeated calls to slow down\u2026 Nevertheless we will try to retain the gist.<\/p>\n<p>The Kilimanjaro objectives focus on a \u201cmulti-service\u201d operator position target because in 2050 no less than 2.5 billion inhabitants will be African, which is 1 in 4 on earth, with a GDP of 10% of world GDP. Let us not forget that to date, the MEA zone contributes more than 50% to the growth of the Orange Group. After the program Babel in 2015, Kilimanjaro started in 2017 (phase 1) and to date phase 2 (in progress) of Kilimanjaro targets an accelerated transformation and must lead to this status of multi-service operator by 2025 at the latest, thanks to a strong African anchoring.<\/p>\n<p>Several strategic aspects should allow Kilimanjaro to deploy innovative models adapted to the challenges of the African continent (partnerships with governments, but also with GAFAM and major Chinese players).<\/p>\n<p>For the Kilimanjaro project alone, 15 recruitments were made in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>5 projects are underway within the framework of Kilimanjaro. They are sponsored by each Orange Managing Director in Egypt, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, DRC and Senegal. Among these 5 projects, the one intended to \u00ab\u00a0Attract \/ Retain skills in the MEA zone\u00a0\u00bb is sponsored by Managing Director of Orange Democratic Republic of Congo. This worksite identified 7 new OMEA &lsquo;new skills&rsquo; (which will be presented below by Pierre Escud\u00e9), it pools &lsquo;rare&rsquo; skills within Skillscenters and it constitutes a pool of talents and develops intra-MEA mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Orange MEA\u2019s african headquarters in Casablanca was inaugurated in January 2020 in the presence of St\u00e9phane Richard and the Executive Committee. Within the CFC (Casablanca Finance City) tower, Orange MEA has over two and a half floors of approximately 900m2 of suitable space for just around 50 employees.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of staff, in September 2020 OMEA had more than 14,500 employees in 18 African countries, and plans 450 new recruitments in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>3 boosters will improve daily life of OMEA: recruitment, pooling and \u00ab\u00a0Up Skilling\u00a0\u00bb (upward training).<\/p>\n<p>Among the typical businesses of the Group, within OMEA the needs are concentrated at more than 80% around the field of Technological Innovation on 7 major skills namely: Big-Data, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, IOT (Internet of Things), ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and finally virtualization and software development. In 2020, the period is marked by a strong change in the mix of learning formats in favor of digital. While 72% of these trainings were carried out face-to-face in 2019, the data has been reversed and more than 80% have been done remotely since early 2020.<\/p>\n<p>New Orange Campus courses were launched in 2020, particularly in cybersecurity (including in English version) and cloud.<\/p>\n<p>In total in H1 2020, 6,000 employees were trained, i.e. 15% more than in H1 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Although these presentations were mostly clear and argued, the haste during the Kilimanjaro presentation by raises concerns. Unfortunately the very low participation of our African representatives during this World Works Council remote session deprived us of questions from the Orange MEA experience. The World Works Council members&nbsp;is asking that Orange MEA shareholding be offered to African employees, to which the Group Management confirms that he is not opposed.
