{"id":15369,"date":"2020-11-16T11:33:41","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8080\/?p=15369"},"modified":"2020-11-16T11:33:41","modified_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:33:41","slug":"developpement-technologique-durable-mesures-d-apparence-ou-engagement-en-profondeur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.cfecgc-orange.app\/index.php\/2020\/11\/16\/developpement-technologique-durable-mesures-d-apparence-ou-engagement-en-profondeur\/","title":{"rendered":"D\u00e9veloppement technologique durable: mesures d&rsquo;apparence ou engagement en profondeur ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[<em>French version here\/English version below<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre du Comit\u00e9 de Groupe Monde des 3, 4 et 5 novembre (en distanciel), la Direction du Groupe a inscrit le Plan RSE \/ Lutte contre le Changement Climatique&nbsp;\u00e0 l\u2019ordre du jour, dossier pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par Elisabeth Tchoungui, Directrice ex\u00e9cutive RSE, Diversit\u00e9 et Solidarit\u00e9 Groupe&nbsp;et par Matthieu Belloir, Directeur RSE Groupe.<\/p>\n<p>Pour la Direction, il n\u2019y a pas de performance \u00e9conomique sans engagement environnemental. En Afrique (plus encore qu\u2019ailleurs dans le monde) l\u2019inclusion num\u00e9rique est primordiale.<\/p>\n<p>Tr\u00e8s r\u00e9cemment, Orange et sa vision RSE pour les prochaines ann\u00e9es a suscit\u00e9 l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de plus de 40 investisseurs (obligations durables \u00e9mises en septembre et souscription de + de 5 fois) \u00e0 hauteur de 500 millions d\u2019euros pour financer nos prochaines op\u00e9rations RSE. Deux projets seront prioris\u00e9s, le partage du r\u00e9seau en Pologne ainsi que le reconditionnement des Livebox en France.<\/p>\n<p>Quelques chiffres relatif au secteur du num\u00e9rique nous sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9s:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Le poids du num\u00e9rique en 2015 \u00e9tait de 3,5% du CO2 mondial (hors d\u00e9forestation) loin derri\u00e8re l\u2019industrie, le b\u00e2timent et le transport. 3,5% dont seuls 0,5% d\u00e9coulent des r\u00e9seaux t\u00e9l\u00e9coms (180 millions de tonnes), parmi lesquels les r\u00e9seaux d\u2019Orange (1,4 million de tonnes)<\/li>\n<li>Le num\u00e9rique sert chaque jour environ 5 milliards d\u2019humains sur terre, soit 400 fois plus que l\u2019a\u00e9rien&nbsp;!<\/li>\n<li>Ce poids du num\u00e9rique s\u2019est stabilis\u00e9 entre 2015 et 2018 malgr\u00e9 une explosion des usages et des r\u00e9seaux&nbsp;!<\/li>\n<li>D\u2019apr\u00e8s la GSMA (Global System for Mobile Association, pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par St\u00e9phane Richard et qui repr\u00e9sente plus de 750 op\u00e9rateurs dans 220 pays), 1 tonne de CO2 \u00e9mise par le num\u00e9rique permet d\u2019\u00e9viter 10 tonnes de CO2 ailleurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le plan strat\u00e9gique Engage 2025 pour la RSE au sein d\u2019Orange pr\u00e9cise la place importante des 4 leviers que constituent&nbsp;notre efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique (b\u00e2timents, r\u00e9seaux, v\u00e9hicules), notre \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 renouvelable, notre \u00e9conomie circulaire (processus &amp; m\u00e9tiers) et enfin notre plan de s\u00e9questration des \u00e9missions r\u00e9siduelles (puits de carbone).<\/p>\n<p>Eu \u00e9gard \u00e0 nos derniers relev\u00e9s (entre 2006 et 2020, notre r\u00e9duction en CO2 est d\u00e9j\u00e0 de 64% &nbsp;par usage client, alors que la COP21 l\u2019avait fix\u00e9e \u00e0 50%) notre objectif de \u2018Net Z\u00e9ro Carbone en 2040\u2019 semble bien \u00eatre \u00e0 notre port\u00e9e avec 10 ans d\u2019avance sur l\u2019engagement sectoriel pris par la GSMA, et ceci malgr\u00e9 l\u2019explosion du trafic des donn\u00e9es sur les r\u00e9seaux\u2026<\/p>\n<p>En 2015, 17 objectfis de d\u00e9veloppement durable (ODD) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9finis et adopt\u00e9s par l\u2019ONU. Ces 17 priorit\u00e9s en faveur d\u2019un d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et social plus respectueux des populations et de la plan\u00e8te sont \u00e0 atteindre avant 2030.<\/p>\n<p>En terme de communication, dans le cadre du Plan Engage 2025, le Groupe Orange va syst\u00e9matiquement citer et reprendre 2 ODD parmi cette liste totale de 17, \u00e0 savoir&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La consommation et la production responsables (ODD 12)&nbsp;ainsi 100% des terminaux vendus sous la marque Orange seront \u2018\u00e9co-con\u00e7us\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Les mesures contre le changement climatique (ODD 13) ainsi d\u2019ici \u00e0 2025, 50% de notre \u00e9nergie sera renouvelable et nos \u00e9missions de CO2 diminueront de 30% par rapport \u00e0 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Toujours sur le plan de la communication du Groupe mais cette fois-ci en interne, des sessions d\u2019acculturation RSE d\u2019une heure \u00e0 1h30 en mode \u2018e-Learning\u2019 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en place pour les salari\u00e9s (en langues fran\u00e7aise et anglaise) depuis 2 mois. A ce jour, plus de 1500 visas RSE ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9livr\u00e9s, et plus de 3200 sont en cours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malgr\u00e9 ces \u00e9changes qui d\u00e9taillent les priorit\u00e9s de notre \u00e9quipe RSE, les repr\u00e9sentants du Comit\u00e9 de Groupe Monde s\u2019inqui\u00e8tent de notre empreinte environnementale dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir. Notamment au sujet du d\u00e9ploiement de la 5G et de ses antennes, la question se pose des \u00e9missions sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 la 4G (exposition aux ondes, \u00e9missions CO2\u2026). De la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on, du fait de nouveaux terminaux 5G qui seront n\u00e9cessaires, nos besoins en extraction de minerais seront exponentiels. Le Comit\u00e9 de Groupe Monde demande \u00e0 \u00eatre associ\u00e9 plus en amont aux prochaines r\u00e9flexions et plans d\u2019actions de l\u2019\u00e9quipe RSE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[<em>English version<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>As part of the remote World Works Council on November 3rd, 4th and 5th (by videoconference), the Orange Group Management placed the CSR Plan \/ Fight against Climate Change on the agenda, presented by Elisabeth Tchoungui, CSR Executive Director, Diversity and Group Solidarity and Matthieu Belloir, Group CSR Director.<\/p>\n<p>For the Group Management, there can be no economic performance without environmental commitment. In Africa (even more than elsewhere in the world) digital inclusion is essential.<\/p>\n<p>Very recently, Orange and its CSR vision for the coming years aroused the interest of more than 40 investors (Sustainable bonds issued in September and subscription of more than 5 times) to the tune of 500 million euros to finance our next CSR operations. . Two projects will be prioritized, network sharing in Poland and the repackaging of Liveboxes in France.<\/p>\n<p>The Group Management reveals some figures on the digital technology sector:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The weight of digital in 2015 was 3.5% of global CO2 (excluding deforestation), far behind industry, construction and transport. 3.5% of which only 0.5% derive from telecoms networks (180 million tonnes), including Orange networks (1.4 million tonnes)<\/li>\n<li>Digital technology serves around 5 billion people on earth every day, 400 times more than airline activity!<\/li>\n<li>This digital weight stabilized between 2015 and 2018 despite an explosion in uses and networks!<\/li>\n<li>According to the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Association, of which S Richard is still president until January 2021 and which represents more than 750 operators in 220 countries) 1T of CO2 emitted by digital technology avoids 10T of CO2 elsewhere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Engage 2025 strategic plan for CSR within Orange specifies the importance of the 4 levers that constitute our energy efficiency (buildings, networks, vehicles), our renewable electricity, our circular economy (processes &amp; businesses) and our plan for sequestration of residual emissions (carbon sinks).<\/p>\n<p>Given our latest readings (between 2006 and 2020, our reduction in CO2 is already 64% per customer use, while the COP21 had set it at 50%) our goal of &lsquo;Net Zero Carbon in 2040&rsquo; seems to be within our reach 10 years ahead of the sectoral commitment made by the GSMA, despite the explosion in data traffic on networks &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) were defined and adopted by the United Nations. These 17 priorities in favor of economic and social development that are more respectful of people and the planet must be achieved before 2030.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of communication, as part of the Engage 2025 Plan, the Orange Group will systematically cite and include 2 SDGs from this total list of 17, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) thus 100% of terminals sold under the Orange brand will be \u00ab\u00a0eco-designed\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<li>Measures against climate change (SDG 13) so by 2025, 50% of our energy will be renewable and our CO2 emissions will decrease by 30% compared to 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Still in terms of Group communication but this time internally, CSR acculturation sessions lasting from one hour to 1.5 hours in &lsquo;e-Learning&rsquo; mode have been set up for our employees (French and English languages) since 2 months. Until now, more than 1,500 CSR visas have already been issued, and more than 3,200 are in progress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Despite these discussions which detail the priorities of our CSR team, the World Works Council representatives are concerned about our environmental footprint in the years to come. In particular regarding the deployment of 5G and its antennas, the question arises of emissions higher than 4G (exposure to waves, CO2 emissions&#8230;).
