French unions CGT, SUD and CFE-CGC have called for Orange France to hire 5,000 employees on permanent contracts in 2014 and to replace all workers who leave in the following years

The unions want Orange to stop paying a dividend to pay for new hires and to maintain investment. They threaten industrial action if management does not heed their demands and will use the group’s 27 May AGM to get their message across.
